OBN BioTuesday: Regulatory Pathway Success Stories in Life Sciences

On Tuesday 5th April we are running a BioTuesday at the Wood Centre for Innovation with a spotlight on:

Regulatory Pathway Success Stories in Life Sciences – which will address how the regulatory pathway has changed, what to know, who to know, interesting case studies and useful insights/updates from key players.

Since Brexit, the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has launched the Innovative Licensing and Access Pathway (ILAP), which is the route for new medicines and devices into the UK market. The MHRA will be able to act as an independent, sovereign regulator with great agility and with a focus on getting vaccines, drugs, and technologies to patients as safely and quickly as possible.

The evening will commence with two scene setting regulatory focused keynotes from life sciences sector experts at global law firm Taylor Wessing, and European specialised regulatory affairs and pharmacovigilance consultancy company EUDRAC, followed by three company showcase presentations:

David Llewellyn Chief Executive Officer, DJS Antibodies

Alex Batchelor Chief Executive Officer, OxDx

Jakub Stefaniak, Scientist, Samsara Therapeutics

Companies showcasing at the event are at an early stage in their development and will provide case studies of their preparation for expected regulatory hurdles.

All presenters will join for an interactive feedback session and audience Q&A at the end before a networking drinks reception, which is kindly provided by event host, the Wood Centre for Innovation.
