Running from 12:00-14:00 this 2-hour session from Steve Vaughan will give you the skills you need for effective negotiation.

    Steve has over 25 years sales, sales leadership and general management experience in the laboratory equipment, analytical instrumentation and life science/bio-process markets.

    Throughout his time in management and leadership roles, Steve has been passionate about developing and growing his team members, many of whom have now moved into senior roles themselves.

    A graduate chemist, Steve’s first field sales role was with Fisons Scientific Equipment, before moving to Mettler-Toledo in 1989. Steve held several roles at Mettler-Toledo, including his first sales management role as Analytical Instruments Sales Manager, in 1995. In 2000 Steve joined Omnifit (a Halma company) as Sales Director, relocating later that year to the East Coast of the US. Steve returned to the UK in 2003 as Sales Manager for Shimadzu UK, successfully growing the team and business over 5 years, before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, as Sales Manager for their Mass Spectrometry, Chromatography and Spectroscopy product lines. Steve was promoted to General Manager in 1989 and was awarded the President’s award for sales and company values in 2011. In 2012 Steve joined GE Healthcare to manage their Life-science instrument, consumables and bioprocess businesses in the UK and Ireland. He received a President’s award in 2014.

    Before joining George James Limited in September 2019, Steve was European Sales Director for A&D Instruments, managing a European wide distribution network of weighing and measurement equipment.
