Kat is a multi award-winning science writer and broadcaster, and is the founder and Creative Director of First Create The Media - a communications strategy and content agency specialising in the life sciences that has been twice shortlisted for OBN's Most Impactful Business Support Organisation award. We believe that it’s not enough to do great science: it needs context, clarity and a coherent story to make an impact and attract the right kind of attention. We work with all kinds of organisations, from startups and larger companies to charities, universities, and research institutes, to get their messages to the audiences that matter.

Dr. Vibhor Gupta is the founder of Pangaea and based in South San Francisco and London. Vibhor trained in oncology and has a breadth of experience in life sciences through his work in industry and academia over the last two decades. Prior to Pangaea, Vibhor started and built the European business for Quantum Secure, which was headquartered in Silicon Valley and was successfully acquired in 2015. Following Quantum Secure, Vibhor served as Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy and Sales at Seven Bridges Genomics, which was founded at Harvard. Vibhor’s academic career focused on conducting molecular biology studies and building bioinformatics tools and machine learning models with epigenetic, genomic, transcriptomic and clinical trial data in the context of oncology and infectious diseases. Vibhor has access to an extensive global network in the Life sciences industry and is regularly invited to speak at international conferences, government funded programs and investment summits.

Michael is Investment Director at Start Codon, an early-stage venture capital fund and venture builder. Previously, he worked for over 10 years at Cancer Research UK, focusing on identifying, developing, transacting, and seed-investing in next-generation oncology programmes and spin-out opportunities.
Michael has a first-class degree in Biochemistry, a PhD in Molecular Virology and Molecular Toxicology, an MBA focused on finance and entrepreneurship, postdoctoral experience in immuno-oncology, drug discovery expertise to Principal Scientist level and is a Certified Licensing Professional. He is the recipient of a number of awards and is active on the life science/healthcare startup scene.
