About the topic:
This event aims to facilitate a productive round-table discussion around good practice in licensing and commercialisation to improve transparency between the investor community, industry and TTOs, to better support emerging entrepreneurs.
Key points to be addressed include the level of equity level taken by universities in new ventures, and how this can often deter future investment, as well as important factors such as foreground and background IP.
We will also look at the positions of all parties involved in partnerships including students, postdocs, the universities themselves and industry, and what more is needed to help commercialise and scale this often-untapped innovation and ambition.
